“Fetch Your Life” mastermind Prine Kaybee Has come a long way in South Africa’s music scene. Today, with a string of hits to his name, he is readily recognized as one of most visible names in South Africa’s music scene.
But Prince Kaybee, who recently educated fans on car etiquette, has not always been a success. At some point, even his mother made suggestions of the professions she thought he should delve into to secure his future.
She thought of him as a soldier, a policeman, and even a cabbie – or a driver, if you please. But none of these professions interested the “Banomoya” crooner. He had his eyes fixated on music and nothing else.
“I remember like it was yesterday. The day my Mom said “Kabelo go be a police man, a soldier or a taxi driver, your time is running out and your son is growing.” I know she meant well but ke mang nna hee, ke “P R I N C K A Y B E E” I’m destined for greater things. Let 2019 begin,” Prince Kaybee tweeted recently, reliving those days.
Not having followed her career suggestions is one decision Prince Kaybee has no regrets over – nor does his mother, who he gifted a Mercedes Benz first week of December 2018.
The year has begun in earnest already for the “Club Controller” hitmaker with an apology from fellow DJ and one-time rival DJ Shimza.
It seems South Africa almost lost Prince Kaybee to the roads as a cabbie. Apparently fate intervened and saved him for South African music. Or what do you think? You may wish to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section.
